Philtronics appoints Simon Street as Chief Technology Officer

As we enter our 20th year, we continue our journey of sustainable growth. 2022 saw us break all previous records and Quarter 1 2023 continues that trend.


It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Simon Street, our New CTO, to the team. Simon will take the lead on our Digitalisation project alongside our digital partners Nightingale HQ.


Our investment into this project will help us simplify operations, allowing for more efficient workflows and greater accessibility.

It will also add value to our environmental sustainability and improve security.

The project outcomes of higher productivity and lower operational costs will contribute to our growth strategy for 2023 and beyond.


Our CEO Simon Pritchard said “I have known and worked with Simon for the past 20 years, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. I am excited by what can be achieved with Simon and Nightingale driving through our digital project plan. The project will undoubtedly help keep us ahead of the pack in what is a thriving time for Contract Electronic Manufacturing in Wales”.


Simon Street said "It's hard to believe I've known Simon and Anne for over 20 years now. Meet Kayleigh Williams, Inspector and IPC Trainer here at Philtronics. Kayleigh has been an important asset to Philtronics during her time here. Having started as Production Operator in 2010 and progressed to Team Leader, then Inspector, Kayleigh has been integral to the growth and development of the Philtronics team. We recently sat down with Kayleigh to learn more about her Philtronics journey, what she’s enjoyed about her time here so far, and how the different development opportunities have shaped her role. Q. Tell us about your role at Philtronics. A. My role involves training not only new starters but also training experienced Philtronics employees. I recently passed my IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Trainer exam, so I can provide training on ensuring and certifying the quality and reliability of box build assemblies.
