New PCBA & Box Build inspector vacancies

Do you want to be a part of a growth-driven and innovative team? We are looking to expand our Inspection teams by adding meticulous and motivated individuals into the role of PCBA and Box Build Inspectors on a temp to perm contract.

Job Description for PCB inspector:

Visual inspection of printed circuit boards to IPC A-610 standards utilising specialist inspection equipment (digital microscope, X-Ray machine etc).
Operating Automatic Optical Inspection equipment.
Ensuring wiring, soldering or mechanically assembled equipment is consistent with quality at all times and to relevant drawings.
Carry out rework and repair of PCB's with both SMT and Through Hole components to IPC 7711 standards if required.
Following build notes, standard operating procedures, bills of materials and detailed drawings.
Completing inspection workload to manufacture specifications and within time constraints.
Completing accurately the relevant production/inspection forms.

Job Description for Box Build inspector:

Visual inspection of box build and harness assemblies using customer drawings.
Following build notes, Standard Operating Procedures, Bills of Material & detailed drawings.
Ensuring wired, soldered or mechanically assembled equipment is consistent with quality at all times.
Completing Inspection workload to manufacture specifications and within time constraints.
Completing accurately relating inspection/production paperwork to a high standard.

Person Specification:

Previous experience with PCB inspection and/or Box Build or Harness assemblies.
Ability to follow build notes, Standard Operating Procedures, Bills of Material and detailed drawings.
Flexible approach to tasks within a fast-paced environment.
Ability to accurately complete relevant production paperwork.
Confidence to deal courteously and efficiently with a wide variety of people.

Meet Kayleigh Williams, Inspector and IPC Trainer here at Philtronics. Kayleigh has been an important asset to Philtronics during her time here. Having started as Production Operator in 2010 and progressed to Team Leader, then Inspector, Kayleigh has been integral to the growth and development of the Philtronics team. We recently sat down with Kayleigh to learn more about her Philtronics journey, what she’s enjoyed about her time here so far, and how the different development opportunities have shaped her role. Q. Tell us about your role at Philtronics. A. My role involves training not only new starters but also training experienced Philtronics employees. I recently passed my IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Trainer exam, so I can provide training on ensuring and certifying the quality and reliability of box build assemblies.
